Thank you Shanghai

We Dance, wee groove danced our way into 2017 with shows over the festive season with our friends from the A.S.K at the Himalaya Centre in Shanghai.

We met and danced with so many happy families and shared some Scottish festive experiences and sampled lots of Chinese culture in our visit.

The Himalaya Centre, in Puding region of Shanghai, presented an imposing and architectural backdrop for our shows and thanks yet again to the Sergey’s lighting design and production skills we made the space our own for our visit.

We met some wonderful professional dancers from Shanghai, Nannan and Walker,  who joined us for several shows and Penny and Brian had an opportunity to work with on a short presentation for the ASK Annual season launch and press conference.

we also led some workshops with ASK Staff and staff at an inspiring International School in Shanghai.

During the visit we met and got to know a fantastic company from Montreal, Samsara Theatre, and spent time over Christmas and New Year together, and also had a day in a 1000 year old water town called Tongli, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.
